Grand Buffet

Went there with the boyfriend and only stayed because we were starving and he said it was good (a couple of years ag0)... It was the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been.. the place is dirty, the dishes are plastic, the cutlery flimsy.. and the food is not even lukewarm and who knows what the heck you are even eating as the labels were either wrong or not even there.. No idea how they are even able to stay in business cause the food and place are so gross!!!! Do not go there... PS.. the icecream freezer is so yuck.. it is full of 8 tubs of inedible freezer burnt crap... Call the Health Department.. even thinking about this is making me nauseous...

We went to this place a couple of weeks ago, this was the worst chinese food that my wife and I have ever eaten. We go out for dinner quite often and enjoy many different types of food.This is my first ever review that I have done.We were totaly shocked at how dirty the place was and the quality of food is a 1 out of 10.

Me and my family were there joining a party yesterday and the newly renovated party room is very nice.
Service is excellent, the short hair girl is very friendly.
Food is fresh as well, the stir fry vegetable is not greasy and pretty tasty.
PS. don't understand why there are so many bad reviews...

the food is disgusting and the place is very very dirty. health food inspector needs to go there!!! has rats too!

We decided to try the Grand Buffet on the way home on at about 8pm on Saturday Night. It was dead. Not too many people were here. At $15.99 each, we were disapointed. There was a Sushi/Sashimi bar was minimal--dried out fish within the rolls and only a few to choose from. Asian food variety pretty good, but the quality was fair to poor. Dessert variety--dried out cakes, some jello, cookies. WARNING The bathrooms were HORRIFIC with a capital H. Out of like 4 stalls, 2 were stuffed with crap and not flushed and overfilled, one was out of order, and the only one I used, had no toilet paper. Furthermore, the floor tiles were dirty, a dirty mop was left out in one corner. I gagged over 5x while I was in it, and when I came out and back to my table, I told my boyfriend we had to leave -)

Better than the previous reviews...guess they cleaned it up...the crab legs, sushi and shrimp caught my eye on the buffet. Pretty good on the pallet to

I read all the other negative reviews on this page and that kept me away from Grand Buffet for about a year. but today I had the sudden urge for buffet so I went to this one cause it was closest to where I live. I went in alone not expecting anything good. music was too loud but they turned it down on request.

the first plate of crap I got was an immediate testament to all the other negative reviews. I ate the fried chicken legs first and thought not bad... but then all the other stuff was gross. the thick noodle s were dripping with oil and undercooked, the fish was overcook and had no flavor, bbq pork pastry had no bbq pork, radish cake was as thick as the bible with zero flavor, i took one look at their spring rolls and it looked like a piece of crap fished out of a dirty city sewer and I didn't dare eat one. I wanted to try the other stuff and see if its as bad, so I got up and started filling a second plate when I noticed something written on the top of the buffet line that says something like if you waste food they'll charge you extra.. so i only took like 2 items and quickly ate it and asked for the bill. thats $11.99 i'll never see again

the only positive thing about this buffet is that it wasnt AS bad as I thought it was gonna be. after reading all these neg comments I thought it was gonna be hell. but after 2 hrs eating I havent felt sick or anything, but thats probably cause I only ate a little over one plate.

the 0.5 is for the fried chicken legs which was mediocre at best.. but in comparison to all the other crap it was actually good.

and no I didnt tip.
and I wont have to worry about them doing anything to my food next time cause there wont be a next time.

Was invited to a large birthday party being held there otherwise I would have walked out the minute I entered. Have never seen such bad, greasy, dirty looking food and the decor is awful. Took a plate of food and had to throw it out,the sweet and sour whatever they were was nothing but gristle, the veggies greasy
and everything was just inedible. Really worried about getting food poisoning,
I ordered a beer,Kokanee, and when it was opened it came out bright orange and flat. How can you ruin bottle beer unless it was there for a couple of years.
I don't understand how a place that serves garbage food and drink can stay in business.

I went to Grand Buffet last year. The service was okay but the food was GOOD. The buffet was well priced as well. Some of my friends found some of the food oily but I didn't mind it. I'm not the type of person that count every calories i consume. I personally find food with a little bit of fat/oil taste better than food that have no oil at all. There was lots of items to choose from, including dim sums!!!

The worst meal I've ever had and very unlcean. When I got home I had a bowl of cereal.

The last time I went there there was a dead bug in my veggies. I'm never going back there again.

I went to this restaruant, and it was the worest place to eat at. The food was so gross and disquesting, nothing taste good, the food area was very dirty and nothing was labelled. To top it off we saw little tiny mice running under the buffet table and at the waiting area as we were on our way out. We mentioned this to the girl at front she pretented she didnt speak english.If I had seen the mice when we entered we would have walked out right away. Dont anyone every go there unless you want to catch a diease.

I went the the Grand Buffet with my sisters on the weekend. There were a lot of choices in food. The resturant was 70-80% full. Lunch was $10.99 (for wkd and holidays) and most(85%) of the food were really tasty. The customer service ladies were very kind.

This restaurant is very unclean. When you walk in you want to exit very quickly. The food is not very warm and most items seem too chewy, items that should not be chewy...

Check out the walls and floors...it looks filthy. The owner(s)should either do a MAJOR cleanup, both in the kitchen as well as the dining area or simply close it down. I am even considering calling the Health Department to do a thorough and surprise inspection of the restaurant.

I have eaten here and the some of the food is cold and not very appetizing. I agree the premises is in need of thorough cleaning. The quality of food is below average but if you are very very hungry then you can load up but beware you wont feel good later. I went to another place called the URBAN BUFFET on HOMER & NELSON and what a DIFFERENCE!!! TRY IT because the food is delicious and the place is CLEAN!!!!

all i can say is GROSS enviroment and FOOD rotten and it gave me diahrrea for hours.

I went to this place dec2005 and i will never go back. There was flies and the food was disgusting.Also the food area was so dirty i was sick. The serving spoons were sticky with food from grubby unwashed hands and people were coughing on the food.Even the cutlery and plastic glasses were dirty.I dont know why the health board wont shut this roach infested place down. DISGUSTING!!

I have patronized this restaurant for a long time and as of my last visit on Aug. 8/05, I will never return. It's standard of cleanliness has been declining for years - to the point now that it almost made me gag. It is deplorable and I would not recommend it to anyone.
