Lougheed Village Inn Pub

My parents (in their 80's) have just moved into the complex. After spending hours, setting up their new apartment, we went downstairs to the very convenient location of the Village pub. We were all very disappointed. We waited 43 minutes (I timed it) for two sandwiches and 2 sides of hotwings. The waitress, when we saw her, was pleasant enough. Her first excuse for the wait was the cook was new, 15 minutes later when asked again for our order, I suggested the Manager get rid of the cook.
I need to add that there weren't even a dozen people in the restaurant. When we ordered my Father ordered his hotwings as his meal and was going to share Mom's salad and ordered an extra plate, I asked for mine with my meal. When it finally arrived, the waitress brought out only the hotwings and said the delay was her fault, because she was late in putting in our appetizer. The food was passable but I honestly expected someone in the pub to notice the problem and do something for us. No price adjustment, no extra food or nothing. Simply the worst service I have received in years. Unbelievably, my Father insisted on leaving a tip I never would have. I visit them at least once a week on my home to Abbotsford, and unless the restaurant does something to explain this appalling service I would never set foot back into the place.
