La Dolce Vita Bakery & Cafe

On business trip Vancouver I found this italion bakery and was excited at reviews talking about it's cannoli. Having lived in Italy and New York, I was hopeful when I read the reviews. I went and bought a dozen variety's from the bakery. I was so disappointed. Lack luster mass produced fillings that made we wonder if Safeway had made them. The cannoli shells were thick and not crisp but soggy or another was basically prouline 1/4 filled with icing. The out of the dozen items 3 were decent. Thier Baba Rum was thier best and most genuine item. I found this humourous as that is a french pastry originating in Paris and this is an italion bakery. I aslos had two of the flavoured cream puffs, not amazing but they were fresh and light and the filling seemed homemade. If you never had a cannoli don't judge them by this place. I give them a 2 out of 10. I through most of them out.

Their cakes are so fresh and so tasty. Their St. Honore cake is always a huge hit at our office.

i go to this bakery all the time. the food there is always fresh and delicious. they have a lot of stuf. like pizza's calzones, all sorts of cakes, italian pastries, coffee, baked goods, etc. it's all so good.

That's the BEST cake I've tasted bride-to-be. I'll definitely place my next order at La Dolce Vita Bakery.
